Will there be T-shirts?

A: That would be great, but that will depend on membership, events and willingness to donate $ for them. So, in short, we’ll see!

How do I join?

I have never brewed, do I have to brew before I can join?

A: Yes, and it has to be good beer, otherwise you will be sent to Germany to learn. Seriously, no, this is for fun and knowledge.

Will there be free beer?

 A: Maybe, but from members or special guests, not from Oak & Iron or any other sponsors.

What do I get for Membership?

 A: True friendship, like best friends for life type stuff. OK, actually, you just get knowledge and a group you can tap into (see what I did there) for answers to questions as you learn, get better or refine the craft (yes, I meant craft as in craft beer).

I have a complaint, who can I talk to?

A: We will be setting up a complaint box in the lobby of the downtown Marriott. (keep looking you may eventually find one). 

Will my husband be spending a lot of time away from the family if he joins?

A: Well that’s a sexist view. All are welcome to join, wives, girlfriends, boyfriends, significant others, uncles, boy toys, cougars . . . you get the idea. We cannot be held responsible for anyone who gets too involved with home brewing, and, in fact, we will rejoice if they get good at it. Wait, what was the question again?

Is there a dress code?

A: Yes, Shirt, shoes and pants are required for all meetings, no matter what Jim tells you.

Are there any other benefits to being a member?

A: Yes! Coming soon, exclusive discounts on equipment and ingredients at a local supplier. 

Is this a beer drinking club?

A: No! We’re here to help educate, share and have a good social time.
