1. The purpose of ABCA is home brewing education, sharing and social in nature. It is not a beer drinking event.
2. We do not now, nor will we ever take ourselves too seriously. This is supposed to be fun.
3. We pledge to be respectful and honor, celebrate and respect differences. Unless you don’t like beer, then we may have a problem.
4. If you are offended by #2, see #1
5. We will share meeting and general information freely and openly with all interested.
6. We will promise to keep any information confidential if it is deemed such by the sharer (Jim sharing a recipe for example would be something that we would not post on social media).
7. Membership is free, for now.
8. Membership can be revoked should a member fail to comply with the rules of membership.
9. We are a club and not a legal entity.
10. Any money given or sent will be treated as donations and will be used as disclosed when donations are requested.
11. Officers are static until such time as membership grows large enough to necessitate voting.
12. Membership is open to anyone in the greater Andover area that is 21 years of age or older and likes beer. Members really need to like beer. Let me be clear, being a fan of beer is a must.
13. Members are responsible for their own wellbeing.
14. Members agree to not hold ABCA responsible, for any reason, liable for any time before, during or after meetings.
15. Attendance at meetings or events is optional and at the members choice.
16. Politics has no place in ABCA meetings or on any web spaces (Facebook, Twitter, etc.). We have time to focus on beer, the enjoyment of beer and how to make more beer. That’s it.
17. More will be added as we know more, we’re learning here so we allow ourselves to be and get better.
18. We will most likely need to cap membership to start. If that happens, we will start a waiting list and honor it in the order requests are received.
